2023 Indiana State of the Child - Southwest Indiana
The Indiana KIDS COUNT Data Book is Indiana Youth Institute's annual snapshot of the most recent information and trends in Hoosier child well-being. Access to reliable, high-quality data and resources empowers and equips leaders, policymakers, youth workers, and advocates with a go-to, trusted source to create positive change for Indiana youth. This year's Indiana KIDS COUNT® Data Book and IYI County Dashboard reflects the intersectionality of Indiana’s youth demographics. Disaggregated data draws attention to the disproportional and disparate outcomes for historically marginalized youth, such as racial/ethnic minorities, low-income, LGBTQ+ youth, youth with disabilities, and immigrant youth. Intersectionality in the data disaggregation creates a deeper and more nuanced understanding of opportunities and achievement gaps in the lives of Indiana kids. Learning Objectives:
